are just easier when you work in a group. It
doesn’t matter whether you’re planting a vegetable garden,
training for a marathon, or managing a project at work. By
collaborating with others, we accomplish so much more for
ourselves and our community.
That’s why PeaceHealth incorporates collaboration into
our mission. We value the involvement, cooperation, and
creativity of all who work together to promote the health of the
community. Join us in supporting healthy living this fall. There
are lots of options to match your needs and talents.
Take a class.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of
classes, lectures, and events designed to help you live a healthier
life. Most of these events are free. This fall take advantage
of group learning opportunities that can help put you in the
driver’s seat when it comes to your health. Check out our
calendar of events on page 6.
Schedule a screening for yourself or a loved one.
Keeping yourself healthy is one of the best approaches to living
a great life. But just because you are focused on your personal
health doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. Work with your
medical team to schedule preventive screenings (see page 4) for
you and your loved ones. Look for opportunities, like shopping
at local farmers markets for fresh produce, where you can
combine fun and friends with healthy choices.
Give back to your community.
It feels great to give back
to those around you. Choose an activity that you love. It doesn’t
matter if you are collecting donations for a food pantry, reading
to children at the library, or leading an exercise group for
seniors—as long as you are giving of yourself in a healthy way.
